Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports in the form of a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority vote. Antonina was awarded an award of Silver in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Golden medal in 2011, the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in her fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko broke her professional MMA record at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She took the win by second round TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled the record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches she won over Ariane Lipski while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee.
