Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine Her real name has been given as Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta now, Sunshine is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician by singing and playing at the church in town. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan; it has since been remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live set. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2008 inauguration.
